Cristiano Ronaldo, Girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez Expecting Baby Together

Cristiano Ronaldo, Girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez Expecting First Child Together

Cristiano Ronaldo has announced that his girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez, is carrying their first child together. The Portugal national team forward has admitted that he’s overjoyed to be expecting his fourth kid.

On Tuesday, Ronaldo finally addressed rumors that Rodriguez is pregnant by confirming that she indeed has a bun in the oven during his interview with Spanish news outlet El Mundo. When asked how he feels about it, the football superstar said that he is very happy to be expecting another child.

Ronaldo’s girlfriend stirred up pregnancy rumors early last week when the athlete shared on Instagram a photo of them lounging on the sofa. In the photo, Ronaldo can be seen resting on the couch with one baby on his lap. Beside him is Rodriguez who is holding her stomach. Rodriguez’s gesture quickly led fans to suspect that she’s pregnant, according to Us Weekly.

The rumors further swirled when Ronaldo posted a photo showing his family, including his oldest son Cristiano Jr, now 7, and Rodriguez, who is seen carrying one of the twins while her baby bump is on full display.

Prior to the posts, the 23-year-old was spotted out and about Ronaldo while sporting a small bump. However, Rodriguez’s mother has come forward to deny the speculations, saying her daughter was not expecting.

Ronaldo’s confirmation comes after he welcomed his twins Mateo and Eva in June via surrogacy. In his latest interview, Ronaldo shared that his twins are doing great. “They are precious. I am delighted,” the soccer star added.

Meanwhile, the identity of his first son’s mother remains to be a mystery. Several sources have claimed in the past that the woman was from San Diego and that she was paid £10million ($13 million) by the 32-year-old professional footballer, as per Daily Mail.

Ronaldo reportedly became smitten with Rodriguez after spotting her in the VIP section of a Dolce & Gabbana party recently. However, there are insiders who are claiming that the two have been dating a few months before that.

At present, Ronaldo is enjoying his vacation with his family in Ibiza since it is still the pre-season break after the Confederations Cup. They are reportedly enjoying spending time on a yacht and dining at local restaurants in the Mediterranean island.

Manchester City’s Most Expensive Transfer XI

Since Manchester City received the backing of Sheikh Mansour in the latter parts of the previous decade, they have not been shy in splashing out the money in the transfer market to attract the top talents from across the world. Year after year, the Sky Blues have spent heavily in building a squad able to challenge for the honours in England and Europe and they have had decent success in their endeavours as well.

Here we take a look at the most expensive Manchester City line-up, featuring players that cost the most in their respective positions.

Ederson Moraes (GK) – £34.6million

The Brazilian shot stopper arrived last month from Portuguese champions SL Benfica. The fee that City paid for him was the world-record for a goalkeeper. We’ll soon know if it proves to be a shrewd investment by the club.

Kyle Walker (RB) – £50million

The most hair-rising transfer of the summer, City signed Walker from fellow Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur, making him the most expensive defender in the world. Can Walker live up to the mountainous transfer fee that he amounted to? Not long before we find out.

John Stones  (CB) – £47.5million

The most expensive English defender until Walker displaced him last week, Stones arrived at the Etihad last summer from Everton. With huge expectations surrounding him, the England international had a fairly subdued and below par first season with the Citizens. Will need to pull his weight this season.

Eliaquim Mangala (CB) – £32million

One of the biggest flop transfers for City in recent times, Mangala came in from FC Porto in 2014 and after two years of error-strewn performances at the heart of the defence under Manuel Pellegrini, Guardiola shipped him out on loan to Valencia last season. Headed for a summer exit?

Aleksandar Kolarov (LB) – £18.9million

The Serbian left-back has been one of the few players who has been able to survive the three regime changes at City – from Roberto Mancini to Pellegrini to Guardiola. Signed from Lazio in 2010, Kolarov has enjoyed good success at City and was part of the two Premier League title winning sides. Has gone on to make close to 250 appearances for the club.

Fernandinho (DM) – £34million

Bought from Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer of 2013, Fernandinho did not take long to establssh himself as an indispensable member of the team at Etihad. One of the best defensive midfielders in England, the Brazilian was a vital part of Guardiola’s regime last season as well. Money well spent for City without a question.

Raheem Sterling (RW) – £49million

He was bought after much furore from Liverpool in the summer of 2015. Sterling has struggled to live up to the expectations that came along with the hefty price tag. There have been glimpses of his exciting potential, but the element of consistency has been missing from his game.

Bernardo Silva (RAM) – £43million

Another new signing of this summer, Silva arrives with great promise after his exploits with AS Monaco last season. He helped the French outfit to the Ligue1 title and a semi-final run in the Champions League. Has all the abilities to be a huge success at the club.

Kevin De Bruyne (LAM) – £55million

One of the best transfers completed by the Citizens in recent history, the Belgian, signed from Wolfsburg, cost them a large chunk of money but has more than justified it with his displays. One of the finest attacking midfielders in England and arguably in Europe, De Bruyne topped the assists charts in the Premier League last season and scored goals in good numbers too. Worth every penny spent!

Leroy Sane (LW) – £37million

He is one of Pep Guardiola’s signings last summer. The German has great potential. After a slow start to the season, he grew prominently in the second period, finishing with 9 goals. Has all the requisite talent to develop into a world-class player.

Sergio Aguero (ST) – £38million

And completing the line-up will be one of Europe’s most lethal marksman Sergio Aguero. The Argentine international arrived from Atletico Madrid in 2011 and wrote himself into the folklore with that last minute goal against QPR in the final game of his debut season, that won City the league title. He is the second highest goal-getter in the club’s history with 169 goals. Truly, he has attained a legendary status at the club.

Manchester United’s Most Expensive Transfer XI

Manchester United’s Most Expensive Transfer XI

Manchester United have always been a big player in the transfer market. The history, the stature of the club, combined with the ability to spend big has meant they have always been able to attract the top cream of players from across the world. There have been many academy graduates at the club that have gone on and made it big. The club has had to shell out some big amounts in the transfer windows as well.

Here we take a look at the most expensive Manchester United line-up of all time.

David De Gea (GK) – £18.9million

The Spaniard was brought in from Atletico Madrid in 2011. He came as a replacement for Edwin Van der Sar. After a difficult start to life in England, De Gea has grown into on of the best goalkeepers of his generation. Has made over 250 appearances for the club and is a pivotal part of the team.

Eric Bailly (RB) – £30million

One of the first signings of the Jose Mourinho era, Bailly arrived last summer from La Liga club Villarreal. He has become an instant fan favourite. At just 23, he has a bright future ahead of him and United may very well have struck gold with his capture.

Rio Ferdinand (CB) – £30million

A British record transfer back in 2002, Ferdinand arrived from Leeds United and went on to become a club legend. The former England international was a wonderful servant for the club. He featured over 450 times, winning 6 league titles and a Champions League trophy among various other honours.

Victor Lindelof (CB) – £31million

Signed only this summer from Portuguese champions SL Benfica, Victor Lindelof had been pursued by Mourinho for a long time. Got a glimpse of him in United’s pre-season game against LA Galaxy. He has shown good signs of turning out to be a great piece of investment.

Luke Shaw (LB) – £30million

Manchester United snapped up Shaw from Southampton in the summer of 2014, making him the world’s most expensive teenager. Despite signs of great promise and potential, the England international has been heavily hampered by injuries in his tenure with the Red Devils. The coming season could very well turn out to be a make or break for him.

Paul Pogba (CM) – £89million

The Red Devils shattered all the records to bring back their prodigal son from Juventus last summer. At the Old Lady, Pogba turned into one of the most devastating midfielders in the game. He has struggled to translate similar form since his return to United. Will need to start showing why United spent so heavily on bringing him back.

Angel Di Maria (RW) – £59.7million

A deal that had the potential to put United on top of the English and European football, Di Maria arrived from Real Madrid in 2014. It was a club record transfer at that time. But, having been constantly played out of position by then manager Louis Van Gaal, the structural and tactical rigidity under the Dutchman did not allow him to flourish and he departed a year later to PSG, where has prospered again.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan (CAM) – £30million

Another arrival at the start of the Mourinho era, Mkhitaryan’s signing was met with a lot of positivity and expectations from the club. His debut season wasn’t exactly mind-blowing. He played a crucial part in the Red Devils winning the Europa League and will look to build on it this time around.

Juan Mata (CAM) – £37.1million

One of the few memorable aspects of a forgettable one-year period under David Moyes, Mata has gone onto establish himself as a key member of the United squad since his arrival from Chelsea in January 2013. While many expected him to be shown the doors by Jose – who sold him to Man United from Chelsea, the Spaniard has toughed it out and has turned out to be a great piece of investment.

Anthony Martial (LW) – £36million (can rise to £58million)

Arriving from AS Monaco in September 2015, Martial became the most expensive teenage footballer in the world. Became the darling of the United faithful when he scored a beautiful goal on his debut against arch-rivals Liverpool and went on to finish his first season as club’s top scorer. Found himself struggling last season under Jose, but with age on his side, he has all the talent and potential to become a United great.

Romelu Lukaku (ST) – £75million

Signed last week from Premier League club Everton, the Belgian striker arrives after a stellar campaign, scoring 25 goals and finishing as the second highest goal-getter in the Premier League. Can he fill in the big boots of Zlatan Ibrahimovic at United? Only time will tell.

Muguruza beat Venus Williams to win the Wimbledon title

Garbine Muguruza

Venus Williams has fallen short in winning her sixth Wimbledon title, losing to Garbine Muguruza 7-5, 6-0 in Saturday’s women’s final.

At 37, Williams was bidding to become the oldest woman to win a Grand Slam championship. Serena Williams holds the record, winning the Australian Open in January at age 35.

After the match, Venus Williams was asked if she had a message for Serena, who is home awaiting the birth of her first child.

“I miss you,” Venus said. “I tried my best to do the same things you do. I think there will be other opportunities. I do.”

Muguruza, 23, of Spain won last year’s French Open, the first Grand Slam title of her career. In 2015 at Wimbledon she lost to Serena in the final.

Venus Williams last won Wimbledon in 2008. Earlier this year, she advanced to the Australian Open final, where she lost to Serena. It’s the first time she’s reached multiple Grand Slam finals in a year since 2003.

Jose Mourinho says Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic is his No 1 target

Ivan Perisic

JOSE MOURINHO has reportedly made Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic his No 1 target.

Mourinho is keen to strengthen his Manchester United squad ahead of their return to Champions League football next season.

The Red Devils have already spent more than £100million on centre-half Victor Lindelof from Benfica and striker Romelu Lukaku from Everton.

But Mourinho is not done there, with Inter Milan winger Perisic also of interest to the United manager.

And according to the Manchester Evening News, Mourinho has put the Croatia international at the top of his summer wish list.

Mourinho is pestering executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward to push through a deal to bring Perisic to Old Trafford.

Perisic has emerged as one of Inter’s most valuable players since joining two years ago. He scored 20 goals and provided 16 assists for the Serie A giants.

Inter’s director of football Walter Sabatini today confirmed United are showing a ‘strong interest’ in Perisic. He admitted the club only want players who are happy to stay.

“[Manager Luciano] Spalletti doesn’t want him to leave but Inter only keep players who are happy to stay,” Sabatini said.

“Manchester United’s interest is very strong but they know what we think about the future or Perisic.

“Perisic is an amazing player and I hope he will always have the right behaviour here. Manchester United have many strong players but we decide the player’s price-tag.”

Wayne Rooney to reject Manchester United offer of £10million to leave this summer

Wayne Rooney could be set for a £30million war with Manchester United

Wayne Rooney to reject Manchester United offer £10million to leave this summer — and fight for TRIPLE that amount

Old Trafford skipper could trigger further 12-month option on his £300,000-a-week salary and stay for one more season

WAYNE ROONEY is ready for a £30MILLION war with Manchester United.

The striker, 31, has a year left on his deal but can trigger a further 12-month option on his £300,000-a-week salary.

Old Trafford chiefs plan a golden goodbye of around £10m — but Rooney knows he can TRIPLE that if he stays.

Rooney is currently on holiday in Ibiza but has been linked with an Everton return. It is as well as a possible that he will switch to Stoke, West Ham or the Chinese Super League.

But England’s 53-goal record scorer is not   agitating for a move and it is understood he and his advisors intend to stand firm.

Gary Neville has urged Rooney and United to sort it out, saying: “I’m surprised it has not been dealt with. You don’t want that hanging over a pre-season.”

Rooney and his team-mates return to training on  Saturday before flying out to  Los Angeles for a week-long camp before  their US tour kicks off.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic sent United fans a farewell message after his Old Trafford exit was confirmed.

Paul Pogba believes Jose Mourinho has the ability to do extreme things at Manchester United which makes him The Special One.

The Portuguese boss made Pogba the world’s most expensive player following his move from Juventus in a deal believed to be worth around £89 million.

Man United have gone on to win the EFL Cup, Community Shield and Europa League, qualifying for next season’s Champions League in the process and it was a successful season even though United finished sixth in the Premier League following some disappointing results.

Speaking about Mourinho, Pogba was full of praise for his methods at Old Trafford.
“He is the Special One because he wins,” he said. “Sometimes he does some extreme things. Against Chelsea, he changed our tactical formation just before the game.

“We had never trained it before but it worked out well. That was special. He won three trophies in his first year, that’s special as well. He deserves his name.

“He’s a manager who is really close with the players. Personally, he welcomed me, we had a talk and I had a good feeling from the first moment on. He trusted and defended me. That’s all a player needs.”

Mourinho has put the foundations in place to build a solid squad and there’s no doubt he’ll be looking to bring in some more players this summer and help balance the squad to qualify for silverware.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic set to leave Man United

Zlatan Ibrahimovic set to be released as Man United confirm ‘retained list’ tomorrow
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not expected to be offered a new contract by Manchester United with the club’s ‘retained list’ being published at 9am on Friday.

The list, released centrally by the Premier League, shows which players are due to leave their clubs when their contracts expire on June 30. Ibrahimovic’s current 12-month deal ends then.                                                                                                                                                                                                        United already indicated that their summer priority is signing a ‘No 9’ replacement for the injured 35 year-old, who is not expected to play before the turn of the year at the earliest.

United’s main target remains Alvaro Morata although the club are hoping to negotiate a deal for substantially less than the £78 million Real Madrid appear to still be demanding for the 24-year-old Spanish international. Morata is also wanted by AC Milan while Chelsea registered their interest last season.

United accept that it will be impossible for them to enter into negotiations without Real attempting to include talks on David de Gea’s future, although they have made it clear they want the goalkeeper to stay.

A list of back-up options, should Morata not be signed, includes Andrea Belotti – although not at the £87 million release clause Torino insist has to be paid by overseas clubs – and Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette. Romelu Lukaku is also being considered but there is a growing expectation that he will return to Chelsea.

Ibrahimovic intends to carry on playing, despite suffering a cruciate knee injury. His agent Mino Raiola has stated the Swede wants to remain in Europe. However, he will have offers from the MLS – and tellingly he underwent his operation in the United States – and China. He turned down overseas offers to join United after being released by Paris Saint-Germain last summer.

Ibrahimovic would have triggered a 12-month extension to his United contract had he started 31 Premier League games. Instead he managed 27 before his season was ended in the Europa League quarter-final against Anderlecht.
